Grilled Lamb Chops with Pomegranate Barbecue Sauce

  • 1 kg lamb chops
  • ½ tsp ground black pepper
  • ¼ tsp salt

For sauce:

  • ¾ cup ketchup
  • 3 tbsp pomegranate molasses
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • ½ cup onion, minced



In a small saucepan, add all the ingredients for the sauce. Allow it to boil. Lower heat and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring frequently. Then remove from heat and cool.

Sprinkle salt and black pepper over lamb chops. Place lamb chops on a heated grill and cook for 5 to7 minutes each side. About 2 minutes before the lamb chops are finished, baste pomegranate barbecue sauce onto each side. Grilled lamb chops are perfect alongside saffron rice and garlic pita bread.
